By Rail

From Bangkok: Take a train from Bangok’s Hua Lamphong Station to Pattaya Railway Station.

By Car

  1. From Bangkok, get on Sirat Expressway in Thung Phaya Thai from Nakorn Sawan and Phitsanulok Road.
  2. Take Motorway - Motorway 7 and Chonburi-Pattaya to Route 3 in Na Kluea district.
  3. Head on to Sukhumvit Pattaya 32, Chalermprakiat and Buakhaow 15 to Pattaya 2nd Road.

Getting around the city and nearby Districts

By Songthaew / Taxi

Taxis can take you to any destination in or around Pattaya. Fares are based on meters.

Songthaews tend to run on fixed rates for following a set route. For driving off route, prices can be negotiated. Most routes are along Beach Road, South Pattaya Road, and Pattaya 2nd Road. Some songthaews head to Naklua Beach, North Pattaya Road, and Sukhumvit Road.

By Ferry

There is a service to Koh Larn (Coral Island) by taking Bali Hai Pier. The ferry is at the southern end of Walking Street in South Pattaya. Costing around 30 baht/person, the service runs 24 hours.

By Car / Motorcycle

Alternatively, it is possible to rent a car to travel around town and to nearby provinces.
